Ethiopia Guji
The Arabica coffee from the high altitude Guji region in southern Ethiopia is celebrated for its complex, fruit-forward flavors and premium specialty grade qualities. Guji is a small zone located in the Oromia region and named after the Guji tribe of the Oromo people, one of the largest ethic groups in the country
Guji coffee is traditionally grown using sustainable and organic framing practices, often intercropping with other plants to preserve biodiversity and cultural heritage. Both wet-washed and natural process methods are used, with natural processed coffees being particularly prized for their explosive berry & tropical flavors. The extended maturation period at high elevations enhances sugar development and complexity in the coffee beans. The regions higher altitude and fertile soil combined with the unmatched genetic diversity of the coffee plants combine to create this distinctive profile.
